Implementation strategy
Yardstick has a well-defined implementation strategy for hands-on activity programs in schools. We partner and work with the schools on a long-term basis for the complete implementation of our activities. We consult with the management regularly so that they are with us every step of the way.
Before starting the program, we begin with training the teachers. They are the key stakeholders who assist us in the implementation of hands-on activity based education. We first have to remove their misconceptions about traditional education and increase their knowledge bandwidth.
We conduct regular teacher-training sessionsthroughout theyear during the course of the implementation so that we can assist them with any misconceptions that arise from teaching hands-on activities. Our goal is to align the teachers with us to ensure complete implementation of our strategies.
The other important stakeholders in our implementation strategy are the parents. We interact directly with all the parents before the implementation so that they know what impact our activities will have on the child’s education. We explain the teaching, and also guide them in answering their children’s questions.
Our quarterly assessment profiles show the development of the child in conceptual understanding as well as behavioural profiles. This provides in-depth knowledge to the parents, allowing them to direct their children’s learning in the Yardstick way.
